Detailed Information on Ronix Boots' Technology

Ronix has raised the bar when it comes to wakeboard bindings. There are two huge differences between Ronix and everyone else. The first is weight. Ronix bindings are the lightest on the market bar none. Danny Harf used his Ronix One bindings and board which is five pounds lighter than other competitive Pro level boards and closed toe bindings to land a 1080 within just weeks of signing with Ronix. And now he is the only person that has landed a 1260!

Weight is important, but at the end of the the day what matters to most recreational riders is comfort. Ronix has THE MOST COMFORTABLE WAKEBOARD BINDINGS EVER. Ronix utilizes a heat moldable liner which is sourced by a company from the snowboard industry to allow the bindings to literally mold to your feet. No tight spots, no pinching, just total comfort (see more info below). The 2009 boots are 1/3 lighter than before!

Boot Information

The Foundation
Before you work on materials, colors, or lacing – it all starts with a last.  Determining the correct amount of toe spring, forward lean, width, and height of a rider’s foot is the most critical element in constructing a properly fitting boot.  These gender specific shapes are a building block based on extensive R&D – not guess work.  Double lasting boots improves the fit right out of the box.  This process ensures that the boot has the most responsive and direct control of your board, by removing dead space and pressure points – making new boots fit like old ones.

**Intuition Liners
Our Liners are made from thermo-forming closed cell foam. These tiny cells of bubbles create a high cross linkage between molecules in each cell wall. This means that the foam does not allow gases to migrate, which would change the shape of the foam. All of this results in the ability to mold the foam into a specific shape when heated and the foam will retain that shape when cooled with reduced heat-related shrinkage.  High quality memory, and resistance to packing out. Intuition foam can also be re-heated and molded more than once without damaging its structural integrity or quality.

Sewn Hardware
Stress comes from where the boot meets the board connection.  Every Ronix boot is double stitched sewn on this stress zone.  Drop your hard earned cash, plan a long weekend wakeboard road trip - know our boots are ready for the journey too.

The Cooker
Flat foot, high arch, narrow heel, or cankles - whatever dimension your foot is, our thermo formed liners were made to be cranked up to 140 degrees and custom cooled to a rider’s hoof.  Now there is a solid reason why you don’t have to share your boots.
